getting inspired all over again
Monday, June 1, 2009 at 9:01AM
I was recently asked to contribute to a new blog project called The OC Daily Photo Blog. Who knew that by agreeing to join Suz of Alive in Wonderlandand the other fine folks there I would be looking at the world around me through new eyes. It never ceases to amaze me how little changes and tiny shifts of perspectives can have such an impact. My curiosity is piqued like never before as I think about and look at my neighborhood and the surrounding areas. Southern California is a great place to live, despite it's issues. I'm just happy to be appreciating that a little more now that I've been asked to share images of it!
What about you? What are you seeing these days? Anything new and different? Share your Best Shot with us.
arg! forgive me...i've been having internet issues. i thought this was posted already! sorry I'm late. HAPPY MONDAY! : )

I feel like I see something new or in a different light every day. I think that is the beauty of photography. Beautiful photo.
Here's mine:
Whirlwind weekend
I agree with Jen. Photography forces you to see new and exciting things all the time. I LOVE IT! Congrats on the invitation!

I'm just glad you're here! I always worry when someone's regular post is late. I guess it's just part of my nature. I've been digging a whole slew of new photo blogs lately, so I'll have to add this to my list.
Isn't it amazing what you find in your neighborhood when you look closely?
Here are some shots from our first few days of vacation on the east coast. New environs can be inspiring as well!
it's inspiring to see the same stuff from a new perspective; i really need to do that here :).
here's mine for the week:

I'm looking forward to school being out so we can stop and enjoy our So Cal beauty...soon. Meanwhile, today's BSM is accurately titled Catch Us If You Can.
It's gotta slow down sometime, right??
Love this! A couple months ago I started two local photoblogs (like I need more blogs, right? ;-) )and have gotten some really inspiring feedback--especially from someone who used to live in the area and recognized some of the places. This post makes me wish I had some way to make my ventures a collaborative effort---perhaps eventually!
Here's one from our walk tonight.
Wow, that bright pop of red against green is beyond gorgeous!
I have a birthday tribute to my sweet nieces.
What I'm seeing is something SIMPLE; a kid being a kid! Please come visit!
I am really trying to see simplicity. Summer vacation could definitely be hurried but I really want to sit back and enjoy. And teach my girls to do the same. Speaking of my girls: My Best Shot
I love this concept! My BSM deals with those pesky little fruit flies that everyone hates... I saw them a bit differently this past week.</p>
Now that I've fallen in love with photography, I see beauty everywhere. I have to work on not going crazy when I don't have my camera.
My BSM is here: http://www.ordinarycourage.com/my-blog/2009/6/2/best-shot-monday-giveaway-winners.html
Soothed by the sunshine, the world looks full of life. Reaching for light
Hi Tracey, Happy Tuesday! I've been snapping pictures of a lot of youth lately.
One Such Love, The Band"

I am dipping my toes back into photography and nervously presenting for the first time:

A glorious day at the public gardens and I cannot wait to go back. The lotus seems apropos of my life right now (roots in the mud/ spirit yearning towards light)
