raising our glasses

This weekend an intimate dinner of joy and hope brought a dear friend across the country to visit. She brought with her the company of amazing women. It was a delight to have the chance to spend time with each of them.

The normal miles between us have made it impossible for us to yet celebrate the Picture Hope win until this weekend.  We stole away one evening and honored the work we've done, the accomplishment we achieved and and the most important part; our friendship. We ordered fancy drinks in tall glasses for our daughters and a few Stellas for ourselves enjoying a good meal and good company.

What are you honoring in your life? My guess is you turned your lens toward something special this weekend so let's see your Best Shot.

Reconnecting with a friend across the miles is such a treat. Glad you got to share some time together!

We spent so much time outside last week, I had to pick one of those for my best shot!

ah, Stella, my beverage of choice! Much to celebrate with this next step. Adored the flickr photoset, especially those that captured the younger generation of 'sisters.'

Today I'm honoring the ordinary moments.

I spent an afternoon with my old college friend Amy last week, and her sweet little girl. I haven't seen her in 15 years, and it was wonderful to be with her again. Her little girl was just beaming with joy and I hope I captured it!

The day merited a margarita, but I never got around to drinking one. Oh, well. Here is my BSM from the Cinco de Mayo festival in San Diego's Old Town this weekend.
