sweet simplicity
Monday, April 13, 2009 at 12:00AM
Even the slowest paced Spring Break still means a total upheaval of any kind of structured, predictable daily routine and I am a routine kinda gal so it can be challenging. Alas, it's Monday again (deep cleansing breath) and I am giddy to get back into the swing of things. We had a perfectly wonderful holiday week but today I will revel in my glorious alone time. Quiet, still and simple.
Something tells me you've got many Spring and/or Easter inspired photos to share so let's see the glory of your life in your best shot today.

I enjoy reading your feelings about Spring Break. As a teacher, I LIVE for the breaks so I get much needed quality time with my little girl! I love hearing a parent's point of view.
My image this week is all about a little girl's attention being captured.
despite being a happy homeschooler... i do envy you a little. enjoy your time. for this best shot i've got a few of myeaster treats....
Great shot! here is my little girl, all happy because we are about to go Easter Egg hunting...
Sometime the simplest things can bring such joy. I try and spend a few minutes every day looking at my sprouts and seedlings. Watching them grow, as slow as it seems to be going, amazes me. Nice shot. Enjoy your peace and quiet.
Here are some shots from our lovely Easter vacation.
I do have photos....and as soon as I stop surfing my favorite blogs, I'll start posting on mine.....hee hee !!!....but seriously, this is my favorite way to start a monday....slow and easy.
Breaks are always great but they are always so much more appreciated once you get back to normal. Lovely lovely shot.
My Best Shot
spring break seems so long ago for us (sigh), but i'm glad yours was nice :).

My best shot was an easy choice for today
true love
I love the sweet simplicity of your shot.
BSM.
I am in the same sweet, simple position today. That shot is perfect.
I'm off to start the day and week with a deep breath and a little hope.
Glad to hear you had a relaxing break, but I hear ya on wanting to get back into the routine again. And you guessed it - my best shot is definitely Easter-related. It's the results of my natural Easter egg dyes.
I love those weathered clothes pins - gorgeous. There is very little green here...we're still waiting for spring to sprout, though there are more and more signs each day. I think the little bird I captured says it all...
I do love the simplicity of your shot.
Here's mine:

Breaks are fun, but I agree, sometimes there is something just as great about getting back to routines. I love those old, weathered clothespins -- so lovely!
My best shot is from Easter, but it's not about bunnies or eggs!
Your posts always make me slow down and prepare for the best! Thank you for that. I share with you the glory of my life in the simple, subtle smile of my teenage daughter. Sometimes these are few and far between...she is a teenager after all. Check it out at www.whenigrow.blogspot.com.
We are still working on getting spring but I had a collaboration this week that I had to share as my BSM.
Wishing you a lovely week~
We had a great week as well and with the visit of some friends from Indiana I saw a whole new side to my daughter!
My Best Shot: Elena and Her Little Shadow
Love the picture of the clothespins! Here is my best shot: http://wisefam.blogspot.com/2009/04/easter.html
Sorry, you have to put up with the rest of my easter pics, but the BSM is the first picture. My little boy, mid-sentence, telling me how he didn't want his picture taken! Also, this may be a stupid question, but how in the world do I link to my site in the comment instead of copying and pasting the url?
Very sweet Shot Tracey. Click on my name to go to my best shot monday. It was a easter week!
Here's my Easter pastel. Have a great re-entry to your routine.
I'm enjoying a nice quiet Monday as well (the girls are still asleep after a busy weekend). We really enjoyed a visit with my brother and his fiance this weekend, although it involved a trip to ER for my brother......
A Lovely Easter
Spring break is so full of comings and goings of the older kids that I too look forward to them returning to school. Even with working full time when they're home full time it seems like they're calling me every hour asking about this or that.
I'd like to say we had beautiful springtime weather for Easter, but alas no. Windy and over cast with scattered rains and even snow in the higher elevation. Spring has certainly turned into a time of chaotic weather patterns that's for sure. However Saturday we still braved the outdoors to give the horses some treats.
The routine simplicity implied by this image is somehow meditative. My husband had spring brake last week, and as a homeschool family it meant a drop of routine and a bit of wildness. But my image is quite the opposite of wild...
Peace Train
Happy Best Shot Monday!
I can't believe how well the theme this week--sweet simplicity--fits with the picture I had chosen! Sweet Serendipity!
Thanks for hosting us, Tracey!
Mmmm...I do have a thing for clothespins!
I cannot decide between these two for my sweet shot:
