watching and waiting
Monday, February 23, 2009 at 9:32AM
The last few days have been an ebb and flow of activity/insights/information/action and waiting/watching/musing/resting. I'm not sure if I could have ever said that in the past upon returning from a conference. But, Mom 2.0 was different. I networked my little heart out, I soaked up all the information shared like a sponge, I talked and talked and talked but I also had time to reflect and think and take it all in.
I feel refreshed and reawoken with enthusiasm and excitement about so many things. About blogging, and creative thinking. About web tools, marketing, projects, prospects and innovations. About meeting and sharing and dreaming and doing. And about the power of women.
Still processing it all today (and probably for months to come) I sit at my computer, eager to begin again where things left off last week but with a new level of understanding and resolve that YES, what we do as women, as mothers, as sisters and friends, is important and is changing the way things are done in this world; business and otherwise. It makes me feel invincible.
How are you feeling today? Does your Best Shot give us a glimpse into your thoughts?

How wonderful for you to feel refreshed and excited. I love that feeling of new prospects and adventures in life.
The Whole World .
One of the things I love about your blog is that you post things that are close to your heart, but you don't go on and on about it. I have a short attention span, and LOVE your shorter than most looks into yourself, your surroundings and what you come away with after those looks.
What's been on my mind a lot today is in 10 short weeks, I'll be a mother for the second and last time. It's hitting me hard today what all that means...as a woman, a wife, a mother...a person of this world.
That's not what I blogged about, though :) Just how my first child is so into the 'process' of everything...not the outcome. 'wonder what will happen if I paint my whole hand red...hmmm'
Caution: Wet Paint!
Tracey, I don't think women can get enough of that kind of enthusiasm... and it seems to grow when we share it. We're all hungry for inspiration, and we can't wait to see how your share this.
I want to help feed the hungry. I've created a badge that I hope everyone will share encouraging everyone to love the earth, grow some veggies, and share it with our foodbanks.... who need food right now, in this economy, more than ever. You can read about the sobering statistics and grab the badge, here: Give What You Grow
What a great feeling. Thanks for always being a source of inspiration. Here's a glimpse into my thoughts:

Wow! It sounds like Mom 2.0 was so awesome. All of the posts I'm reading are making me smile.
My best shot was more in line with your post from the other day. <span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: Arial; font-size: 11px; white-space: pre-wrap; ">We welcomed a new pet into our home in honor of my son's 3rd birthday!</span>
Sorry about that extra code there. Don't know what happened. The link works, though!
I had to cancel my Mom 2.0 plans at the last minute and am still kicking myself for having to miss it. Sounds like everyone had an incredible time!

Dad Time
Thank you for your wonderful blog. I enjoy reading it and am so excited to participate in Best Shot Monday! The photo I selected for my first BSM post is not of the highest quality, but I believe it comes from a higher place. :)

Sounds like an inspiring few days. Hearing about things like Mom 2.0 makes me extra thankful for the blogosphere.
I was getting a big look
at our neck of the woods yesterday. Your post reminds us about how big we are; our trip to take in the view reminded me of how small we are as well.
Tracey,
My first BSM in the new digs, and I love it! So gorgeous. I am loving every nook and cranny, it is such a beautiful reflection of you!
My BSM reflects, well, maybe not ME exactly, unless I'm looking kind of BOVINE!
SAY MOO!
It's always refreshing to attend something like that and come back full of ideas, excitement, and passion!
My thoughts this week are on Gratitude
Love both pics!
I'm a little late this week..... but I still got 'er posted!
