An excuse to meander

The thing about being busy doing something like writing is that you are forced to sit down, be still, tap into the catacombs of one's cluttered mind and excavate memories you want to revisit and tell about. And in the case of this project, there are the photos that go with the stories. For weeks I have found myself in the library of soul, bringing together bits and pieces, recollections and reflections. It's no easy job. But, I love it anyway.
Most recently, I am rediscovering landscapes and horizons that conjure up the kind of memories that bring me peace and refuge. Reliving yesterday can be cathartic and inspiring especially as I am tied to my desk. With each image, I find myself meandering into my heart's happy places.
As I share some of the archived shots with you, I invite you to stroll with me to distant lands, down sunny dirt roads, along sandy beaches, towards the sunsets and into dreaming.
